The CTX Evidence Standard
Honest, simple, real-session proof – no pressure, no perfection.
Just show your swim and your thinking — and earn more XP for doing it well.
Why Evidence Matters
Evidence isn’t about catching the perfect moment
Good evidence doesn’t need to be fancy
The CTX Evidence Standard
These three principles keep every challenge fair, clear, and easy to review. Follow them, and you’ll earn XP faster — and help keep CarpTactix authentic.
Show Your Swim
A clear photo or short clip of your swim, margin, or rod area.
It doesn’t need to be perfect — just real.
Explain Your Thinking
Tell us what you noticed and why you made your decision.
Honest interpretation matters more than the outcome.
Keep it Honest
Your evidence and reasoning must come from the same moment.
If it’s genuine, you’ll earn more XP — simple as that.
A Simple Example of Good Evidence
Here’s what a great submission looks like. It’s real, simple, and honest — nothing fancy, nothing staged. Just clear signs, clear reasoning, and a calm look at the swim you were fishing.
Example Swim Photo
What makes this a Good Submission
Clear Swim View — the angler shows the actual water they were fishing, not a random scenic image.
• Honest Signs — small ripples, colour changes, trailing bubbles, or margin movement. Nothing exaggerated.
• Realistic Conditions — light chop, average clarity, everyday UK lake conditions.
• Reasoning Included — the angler briefly explains the signs and why they chose that exact spot.
• No Perfection Required — camera shake, dull lighting, or wind-blown water is absolutely fine.
• Consistent With the Session — photo clearly matches the story they submitted.
If your evidence looks like this — you’re doing it right. Real sessions, real thinking, real angling.
A Weak Example — And Why It Earns Less XP
Not every submission will be perfect — and that’s absolutely fine.
Here’s an example of a weak entry and why it earns XP at the lower end of the range.
Weak Example
Why this Submission Falls Short
• The photo doesn’t clearly show the swim or key features, making it hard to understand the angler’s decision.
• Little or no reasoning is included — the reviewer can’t see what signs the angler reacted to.
• The submission feels rushed or incomplete, even if the attempt was genuine.
• Conditions or context aren’t explained, which limits how fair the XP award can be.
• The evidence doesn’t match the story, or doesn’t help demonstrate the tactic used.
Weak submissions still earn XP — they’re just rewarded at the lower end.
Honest effort always counts, and every log builds your progression.
